2019 Cape Vincent Weekend Sports Series July 19-21
July 19 – There will be a Cornhole Tournament held on Gouvello St. The coast per team is $20 prior to Friday and $25 the day of the tournament. The signup is online at www.capevincent.org or call 315-654-2481.
July 20 – The Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Bob Gosier Memorial Cape Street Hoops 3 on 3 basketball tournament on Broadway in downtown Cape Vincent. Register online at www.ACAhoops.com or www.capevincent.org/hoopstourney . Early entry fee – $150 per team if received by June 1, 2019 after $175 per team.

July 21- The Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its annual Tibbetts Point 5k-10k Run/Walk on Sunday, July 21st starting at 10:00 am. This year there is a new course that starts and finishes at Gouvello St. near the Village Green. The 10k course is flat and fast. It follows the St. Lawrence to the scenic Tibbetts Point Lighthouse. The 5k course follows the same route to a 2.5k turn around.
Pre-registration is $25.00, Race day $30.00. If paying in Canadian cash- Canadian $30.00 pre-registration and $35.00 Race Day-CHECKS/MONEY ORDERS MUST BE IN US FUNDS (SUBJECT TO CHANGE) Pre- registration ends on July 13th and money should be received by that date. The first 100 pre- registered runners and walkers will receive a free tee shirt. There is a FREE 1k Fun Run for the kids beginning promptly at 9:30 from Gouvello St. as well. Race Day registration is 8:00am to 9:45am, make checks payable to and mail to: Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 482, Cape Vincent, NY 13618. The race will be professionally timed by Auyer RaceTiming Racing from Oswego, NY. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the restoration of the Tibbetts Point Lighthouse keeper’s quarters.
Awards will be presented following the run. There is a permanent trophy engraved with names of the male and female winners of the 5k and 10k races. Ribbons will be awarded to the first, second and third place men and women in the following age categories: 17 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
