Discover the story of slavery in New York State. Learn about African-American men serving at Sackets Harbor during the War of 1812. Visit the historic site commandant’s house, home of a Southern-born navy officer on the eve of the Civil War. “To Be So Confin’d: Complexities of Slavery in 18th Century New York” is a dramatic presentation on Northern slavery. Then Anthony Gero tells about the military role blacks played during the War of 1812 at Sackets Harbor. Afterward, tour the site’s navy commandant’s house where Georgia-born commodore Tattnall lived in 1860 when he learned fellow Southern officers were resigning to fight for the Confederacy. His dilemma placed in jeopardy the lives of his household members and his long navy career. No admission for the dramatization and talk; a nominal fee for the house tour.

From the bombastic and epic, to the folky and mystical, Get The Led Out (GTLO) have captured the essence of the recorded music of Led Zeppelin and brought it to the concert stage. The Philadelphia-based group consists of six veteran musicians intent on delivering Led Zeppelin live, like you’ve never heard before. Utilizing the multi-instrumentalists at their disposal, GTLO re-create the songs in all their depth and glory with the studio overdubs that Zeppelin themselves never performed. When you hear three guitars on the album…GTLO delivers three guitarists on stage. No wigs or fake English accents, GTLO brings what the audience wants…a high energy Zeppelin concert with an honest, heart-thumping intensity. Preview
