Travel back through time and experience life in a British Military Garrison in the year of Canada’s Confederation, 1867. Founded by Ronald L Way, renowned for being the innovator behind “living history”, the Fort Henry Guard Drums or Drill Squad train on the parade square and fire the cannons using the drill as outlined in British Army drill manuals of the day. Aspects of mid-19th century domestic life are interpreted through soldiers’ wives who live in the garrison and include Victorian Schoolroom, Rifle Firing Demonstrations, Music of the Regiment. Admission fee includes a 45-minute guided tour of the Fort.
