Description
19-year old singer-songwriter Sawyer Fredericks, hailing from his family's farm in central New York State, is fast establishing himself as an authentic original, Americana artist with an old soul. As a folk/blues singer-songwriter, who cut his teeth at local farmers markets, open mics and iconic New York venues like Caffe Lena, the Towne Crier Cafe and The Bitter End, Sawyer seemed an unlikely match for reality TV, but quickly won over broad audiences with his genuine delivery and unique arrangements of classic songs, going on to win season 8 of NBC's The Voice. His deep, beyond-his-years lyrics and melodies, raw, soulful vocals and powerful live performances have attracted devoted fans of all ages, selling out shows throughout the US. In 2018, Sawyer once again went independent, reclaiming full artistic control, creating an album entirely written by him, self-produced and self-released. The highly-anticipated Hide Your Ghost sheds the high gloss major label treatment, and stays true to Frederick's honest and elegantly stripped down style, a self-described "free range folk," incorporating elements of blues, roots, rock and jazz with live instrumental arrangements throughout. Hide Your Ghost is considered one of the Top 10 Americana Albums of 2018. Sponsored by 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel.

Description
The end of summer gives us the blues so we celebrate with a pair of music festivals timed around Labor Day Weekend each year. Blues music carries throughout downtown Alexandria Bay, New York, all weekend long from more than a half-dozen acts staged where the village meets the water. Hundreds bring along lawn chairs and gather beneath the tents to hear guitars rifts, bass beats and soulful wailing…with the waves of the St. Lawrence River just feet away. Businesses throughout town get in the act by staging blues acts at various restaurants, bars and more. Blues in the Bay draws a laid back crowd looking to tap their feet and occasionally get up and dance to the end-of-summer blues. Across the border in Kingston, Ontario, the Limestone City Blues Fest attracts thousands over the long weekend to hear more than a dozen acts including traveling headliners who perform at downtown Market Square and venues throughout this small historic city along the shore of Lake Ontario. Kingston was Canada’s first capital and played a significant role in the country’s founding. The architecture lives up to that lofty status and the city is known as a foodie hub, blending just enough gourmet, modern-city offerings while maintaining a small town vibe. The city has produced several major music acts over the years, making the Limestone City Blues Fest a natural for this hub of musicians.

April is National Poetry Month. Come celebrate it at the Clayton Opera House with The Mayhem Poets. "Let's go see a poetry show." That is a sentence rarely proclaimed and usually responded to with cringes and excuses. The Mayhem Poets are on a mission to change that. Having been dubbed "an amazing ride" by the New York Times, this mind-boggling performance has been described as "The Simpsons meets Malcolm X at a Notorious B.I.G. concert." These theatre-trained, comedically-gifted, lyrical virtuosos seamlessly blend raw elements of hip hop, theatre, improv and stand-up comedy to tell gut-wrenching truths that leave audiences forever changed. The Mayhem Poet's unique approach to spoken word has landed them feature spots on The Today Show and Eyewitness News, after winning 1st place and a grant for 100K in the Microsoft Idea Wins Challenge in 2006. Since then they've been touring internationally from legendary venues like Lincoln Center, the Apollo Theatre and Broadway's New Victory Theatre; to hundreds of universities, local schools of all grades, as well as group homes and correctional facilities. Description
The John Fogerty Tribute Project is not a cookie cutter tribute act giving you the same songs and robot style performances. Rather, their live, interactive, heart throbbing performances are at the core of a real live John Fogerty concert. An energetic tribute that will bring the house down with all the songs you would expect to hear from both John Fogerty's Creedence Clearwater Revival years and his solo career. A fitting tribute to the man and his music whil maintaining the individual musicianship of each band member and their talent. The band is also in contact with current members of John Fogerty's touring band while seeking their advice and critique on the project. They leave their audiences with a memorable uplifting rock and roll experience while paying tribute to the classic and timeless music everyone knows and loves leaving the fans wanting to do it all again.
