An interpretive brochure will guide you along the 2-mile trail through rare alvar grassland, shrubland and forests. In late May, visitors can enjoy a diverse array of native wildflowers, including prairie smoke, which can be seen no where else in the northeast. Watch for migratory birds in spring and fall.

El Dorado Shores Nature Preserve
A bird blind along the 1 1/4-mile nature trail provides an excellent view of the rugged Lake Ontario shore. Great vantage point for viewing ducks, terns and shorebirds. Mary Island State Park
Access is by boat only. Offering seclusion and spectacular views of the Canadian shore or the shipping channel. The park has a picnic area and several foot trails. Pets must have proof of current rabies vaccination; certificate inoculation or dated collar tag. Household pets only.
Lemoine Point Conservation Area
