Before George Boldt transformed Heart Island into the famed Boldt Castle, there was the Hart House. A portion of the the Hart family mansion was carefully slid across the ice to it’s current home on Wellesley Island’s Thousand Islands Country Club golf course. The Hart House is being brought back to it’s earlier Victorian grandeur for guests to enjoy. Nearly 9000 square feet of peacefulness where your entire party can enjoy being together without being crowded. Featuring a grand living room, long sitting room, a warm and inviting tranquility reading room and eight beautifully appointed bedrooms, most with whirlpools and private decks. Period antiques appoint each room. Two large rooms on the first floor (one wheelchair accessible) and a beautiful staircase whisks you past a grand fireplace to the six second floor bedrooms. The commercial style kitchen is huge with lots of room to work is equipped with standard household appliances. We have relationships with several local chefs should you desire to have your meals prepared for you – leaving more time to spend with family and friends.
Outside, a sizeable lawn and large water feature (falls and fountain) adds to the ambience when viewing the sites of the St. Lawrence River. Situated between a golf course and two marinas providing access for tennis, pickle ball, golf and boat slips.
The Hart house is (pun intended) in the heart of the 1000 lslands. Easily get to Clayton, Alex Bay or even Canada (when border reopens) within minutes. This central location gives you access to many 1000 Island activities.
