The Cape Winery is located on historic Deerlick Farm. As it turns out, Deerlick Farm is the perfect vineyard location so of course, Deerlick Farm Vineyards was created. The site with limestone soil, south sloping hills, nestled between Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River offers a buffer to harsh north country winters. As far as vineyards and wineries go, The Cape Winery is quite young but grew quickly to become a local favorite and Gold Medal winner from the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition.
Enjoy a tasting in our historic barn and learn about the cold hardy grape varieties and the unique process used to create some amazing wines. The Cape Winery can easily be added to your favorite 1000 Islands tour.
